Maria Montessori designed her education system to educate the poor. Let’s not forget that. The history of this multi million dollar name is now a global brand, but in its essence she designed it to help the poor street children of Italy.

Today we demonstrated the versatility of her pedagogy. These teachers of Nepal can’t afford the laminated charts produced by numerous organisations orotund the world, I mean Nepal doesn’t even have access to online purchasing.

But today we proved the true worth of her work, today we showed that with a few pieces of card and a good story, we can teach the process of photosynthesis, or the factory within a leaf.

The teachers loved it, it took Montessori back to its roots and each teacher can now make their own material from a few pieces of card . ❤️
