The only constant in education is change, and that change is you!

As we discussed the year so far, a teacher told me that she hadn’t had the best year.

As we discussed the year so far, a teacher told me that she hadn’t had the best year. She’d fallen behind with assessments and hadn’t kept up with current pedagogies.

I told her.

“This year will be better, what you have done in the past needs to be forgotten. A ship’s destiny is not set by the wake it leaves behind, it is set by the steering of the Captain.

You are that ship and you are the captain. No one is going to judge you on what you have done, it’s what you’re doing that matters.

If you want to get fit, you go to the gym -today!

If you want to start eating healthy – you do it during your next meal.

If you want to quit smoking – you quit immediately.

What your year has been like bears no reflection of who you are today. You are, and you will be what you want to become. Steer your ship in the direction you want to go, live in the now, the present, today.

If you want to reinvent yourself, do it today. We all know those people who suddenly change jobs, take up yoga, or become vegetarian. They realised, they finally understood that you are not determined by the wake you have left.

So don’t worry too much about last year, worry about now.

Are you steering your ship? Or is somebody else? “

Have a wonderful day my amazing friends!!! ❤️
