You Know Your Class better than anyone.

“I want you to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think.”

As a teacher, listen to advice from others, take heed of your leadership team and read the curriculum outcomes of course.

But it is you who spends all day everyday with your class. It is you who can spot those subtle signs of anxiety, those changes in mood or temperament, it is you who knows how to hook your class, how to navigate those difficult situations of emotional turmoil or a lack in confidence. This is the pivotal role of any classroom teacher.

So nod, say yes to the powers that be, then close the door and do what’s best for the children in your care, like only you knows how.

Be the change that the world needs. Sing your own song and hopefully others will sing along too.
