Perspective is everything!

imagine sitting on a park bench on the moon, gazing back at this beautiful blue paradise we call home, see it hanging in the dark of space vulnerable and fragile.

Then as you gaze upon your distant home. A place where everything you’ve ever read, was written. Where every single piece of history, science and geography took place. A place where your evolutionary history began over 5 billion years ago. That’s your home!

Then remember that as you sit in that bench gazing upon the glory of earth. That tonight, over 1 billion people will go to bed with an empty stomach. 1 billion will have no access to clean water and countless women and children will spend their day being sold and traded as commodities, as they grapple with persecution, war and social injustice.

Then, just before you head home. Make a pledge to do something about the injustices before you.

As we hurtle through soace in this tiny rock covered with oceans, mountains and fields we forget how vulnerable we are, but we also forget our true power and the reality that we are all in this together.

While your heart beats, your legs walk and your hands move, we fail to realise the true potential of life! Ask yourself, what is it that you are going to do to right these wrongs? You don’t have to save the world, but you can if you’d only start!

Now go on, open your eyes, get back to earth and be the change you wish to see in the world!
