It’s started!
Somewhere on the border of Nepal a woman lights a candle, gives thanks to god and prepares for the new beginning for the children of this small village.
For years the children have been educated in the mud building behind her. When I rained, school was closed, in winter it was unbearable to stay and in summer the walls cooked.
But thanks to you, thanks to the kindness of the people in this world, the children of the village will have a new school. A place to feel safe, a place to learn and a place to build the foundations for a better future.
The work starts today and my pledge to you is that on Christmas Day I will stand in her place, but behind me will be a new school. A school that the world built, a school littered with love. A school for the future.
