Limit the amount of time watching screens, but don’t eliminate them altogether.
It’s the 21st Century and technology is a part of our lives and of our futures whether we like it or not. As our lifestyles advance, technology will become ever more so entrenched in our lives and the way we do things.
Technology has its place, but there are boundaries and limitations that we need to set for our young children. Technology should not be used as a tool to keep children quiet when we have had enough of their noise. It should be used to be engaging, investigatory and educational.
It is also important that there are limits set in regards to using technology. For example, to be used within given timeframes set by parents or carers, to be used in public so parents and carers can monitor how it is being used and what is being watched.
It’s also highly recommended that technology should not be allowed in the bedroom at all; no phones, no laptops, no TVs. Take the time to educate yourselves and your children on the hazards and benefits of technology.
If you’re ever in doubt a book does the job perfectly. ❤️
