Education is the key to world peace. The children we influence as teachers are the leaders of tomorrow. The greatest lesson any teacher can give, is that “our actions, no matter how small have consequences.” If we consider this before making these decisions then maybe, just maybe the world will be a better place for us all to live.
“Oh you’d like to have a cake stall to raise money for the homeless, little Tommy? Why are you doing it?”
“I won’t raise much money, maybe 200 dollars but, I’ll donate it to the homeless shelter, so that a homeless person can get food for a week, which may give him the energy to go out and find a job, which in turn may allow him to save for a house, which means he may then find a wife, and a family, who he can raise to be supported and educated in the knowledge that when he was down and out, someone was looking out for him and his children should do the same”
“Oh so your cake stall has long lasting effects Tommy?”
“Yes, its for the betterment of the human race.”
“Ok let’s do it.”
As a teacher trainer, I can feel my actions influencing these future teachers from Kathmandu. I just hope that the message is carried forward to those children who are angry at the world for being left behind.
Much love ❤️
