Children are a product of their environment, they love to imitate those around them, especially their parents and teachers.
What we wish to see in our children we should practice ourselves. “Model the behaviour you wish to view in your child.”
What is work for you is not work for the child. To be like mum or dad is the dream of many children.
We must remember that just because they can’t respond to us, doesn’t mean they don’t understand. They understand a lot more than we think and we need to think very carefully about what they are seeing.
Set the foundations of kindness, care, respect, equality independence and persistence and your child will grow to be able to take on any of the challenges the world may throw at them.
