20 years ago I graduated from with a degree in primary teaching. I didn’t know if I wanted to be a teacher but my mum persuaded me that I was good with kids and had a knack for telling stories.
So I graduated and walked into my first job as a teaching, teaching kindergarten. It was fun but I’ve never been so tired in my life.
I went on to work accrues the world teaching, lecturing and building my own schools.
I would never have had the fun I’ve had if it wasn’t for my mum asking me to take a chance. The old saying “mums knows best” fits well here.
Today I’m back where it all began to meet my old lecturer and say thanks for inspiring me to go forth and work hard.
Those who teach, change the world each and everyday, one child at a time!
