Let’s prepare our children for the world they’re about to walk into. Not the past.
Since when did knowing all the prime ministers, capital cities or rivers in a country, ever help get anyone a job or assist them with survival in the real ‘dog eat dog’ corporate world?
It didn’t.
We need to start teaching competences such as time management, organisation, teamwork, collaboration, communication, and empathy if we want our children to thrive in the world they’re about to sail into.
Let’s give them the sails to ride the storm ahead and why not give them the tools and the skills to rebuild those sails should they break.
