What are Soft Skills?

There’s no point in ‘teaching for teachings sake’ I mean what is the point in teaching something just because it says it in your text book, or because the curriculum says so?

The essential skills that should be included in every teaching program, every lesson plan and every assessment task are those that will make the world a better place to live.

Make these skills the “learning objective” of your lessons and cultivate students who will emerge as changemakers, young adults who will understand that there’s only one race “the human one” and that we only have one planet, if we take care of it, it will take care of us.

Include these in your next term’s plans:

Resilience

Passion

Strength

Wit

Faith

Compassion

Intuition

Kindness

Self esteem

Motivation

Intelligence

Fortitude

Morals

Work ethic

Courage

Empathy

Determination

Diligence

Personality

Manners

Honesty

Diligence

Ingenuity

Grit

Common sense

Creativity

Effort

Physical fitness

Love

Acceptance

Care

Make these essential skills a priority in your classroom and see the world change before your very eyes.
