Today I was asked what to do if a child is stealin…

Today I was asked what to do if a child is stealing and denying it? Here's what I said.

“When a child steals something and is caught they obviously try to deny it, you may get them to admit it or not but that's not how to solve the problem.

Ask the child how it feels to take something that doesn't belong to them, how does the other person feel? Once they admit that it doesn't feel good and others feel the same. You're almost there!!!

Now allow them to make something, give something or help someone! Then ask them how it felt to give, to help, to provide!

When we attach an action to an emotion the lesson is not about “will I be caught?”, or “what can I get?”, but ……….

“How do I feel? “ ❤️
