The secret to teaching is not to lecture your students through the entire journey of the lesson. The secret is to entice them into a journey of discovery.
Like a ship in the ocean without a sail or engine, let the children slowly drift into your lesson and whilst they sit on the waves and listen, throw a rock into the water to create a wave, the role of the child is to find a way to ride that wave to a new location, a new level of discovery and understanding.
The only way you’ll create waves is by teaching with passion, expertise and experience.
Make it personal, make it fun but leave lots to the imagination of the child.
