Education and assessment should not be centred around what the child can do today. To me education is all about potential and with the right guidance, encouragement and love, it’s something we all have!
“It’s who the child can become that matters! And if you can’t see the potential oak tree from the acorn in your hand, then you’re not looking!
It’s time to educate the whole child, emotionally, physically, academically and spiritually and look at their individual learning needs and the unique qualities that will make them shine.
If a seed doesn’t grow, you don’t change the seed, you move the pot!
Move the pot, Place it in an environment where essential skills are included in the curriculum, one where independence, love, empathy and compassion are embedded learning outcomes, where the teachers cater for each child as individuals and one where everyone is treated with respect….
Only then can all become anyone we wish.
