The more you can stimulate the senses during a lesson using nature, the deeper the understanding.

Today I collected leaves to deliver to my class a session on ‘the parts of a leaf. ‘ if you want to teach the children about leaves, bring in some leaves, not books about leaves.

When I taught my class about vertebrates, I brought in my cat.

When I was introducing the function of the circulatory system, I brought in a plate of lambs hearts.

When we were studying the moon, we waited until 7pm and watched it rise.

And when I wanted the children to write a letter, I wrote them all a letter.

Make a child feel something and the learning will be engrained for a lifetime. ❤️
