The 4 Benefits of Siblings Learning Side-by-side

Morning lessons have resumed here in Nepal. These two brothers were so eager to start that they woke me up at 6am ready to learn. But what benefits are there to siblings learning side by side?

Well, according to leading child psychologists, siblings who learn together can:

Develop strong bonds: “Siblings who learn together can develop strong bonds and a sense of teamwork, which can be very rewarding for both siblings,” says child psychologist Dr. Rachel Busman.

Learn from each other: “Siblings can learn a lot from each other, especially when it comes to problem-solving and critical thinking,” says child psychologist Dr. Lisa Damour. “By working on projects and tackling challenges together, siblings can help each other develop valuable skills.”

Encourage each other: “Siblings who learn together can encourage and motivate each other to keep going, even when things get tough,” says child psychologist Dr. John Mayer. “This can be especially important when it comes to learning at home, where there may be fewer external sources of motivation.”

Have fun: “Learning with siblings can be a lot of fun,” says child psychologist Dr. David Anderson. “Siblings can make learning a more enjoyable experience for each other and can help to keep each other motivated and engaged.”

Overall, learning with siblings can be a rewarding experience for both siblings. It can help them develop strong bonds, learn from each other, encourage each other, and have fun and best of all, it develops independence which allows you to brush your teeth while they draw together!
