Don’t just teach children to read!
Teach them to question what they read and respond accordingly.
For example “now children today’s lesson is on perception versus reality. When you see the front page of the newspaper totally ignore it, keep walking and wipe it from your mind as it’s politically motivated and probably owned by a corporate puppet who only cares about scaring the population into thinking that, if they spend more money and vote for his/her party then they’ll be safer” etc
If you didn’t see it with your own eyes, it probably happened differently.
