Confidence and Resilience!

As children start to return to schools across the globe, it’s time to reflect upon what ‘real’ learning objectives look like!

The academic focus and the lack of emphasis on essential skills such as confidence and resilience within institutions around the world, demonstrates a crucial flaw in the infrastructure of educational pedagogy as a whole.

In order to develop future leaders and change makers, ones who can see problems before they begin, understand that cultural identity, faith, colour or creed has no direct link to the intellect or importance of another human being are important personality traits, we want our leaders to have.

The only way we can have graduates who have the ability to see us as equal, the environment as important and have to foresight to protect our future generations, is by allowing our teachers to freedom to make space for the non-academic curriculum.

Einstein said “True intelligence is found creativity.”

Put this quote on your your staff room wall and make sure that this is something we focus on as the children return to school.

The academics will come, that’s a given, but the essential skills for life are of upmost importance as we enter the next phase of this pandemic.
