Children have 5 senses. If we want a lesson to be as successful as possible we should be igniting as many as many as we can.

During this workshop on pollenisation we demonstrated that by bringing actual flowers into the equation the class were able to understand it a lot more clearly, but more importantly, remember it!!!

The scent of the flower, the feel of the velvet petals, the look of the pistols under a magnifying glass, the sound of the stem as we snapped it to look inside and finally the taste of honey that bees produce after collecting nectar.

The next time you’re preparing a lesson consider how many senses will be used, if it’s 1 or 2 scrap that lesson and think again ❤️
