Amazing mathematics/wellness lesson to give your class tomorrow. Assign a number to each letter of the alphabet starting with A=1% B=2% etc
Then calculate as a percentage the value of words by adding the percentage value of each letter in the word.
For example the word ‘Babe’ would be 2% + 1% + 2% +5% = 10%
Now put these three words to your class and ask them to calculate.
“Knowledge”
“Intelligence”
And finally “Attitude”
The children will love it and it opens up a great topic of conversation.
