A year a ago I planned to build a school in this village. A year ago I begged you for money and donations. You rose to the challenge, you sent parcels, money and words of encouragement.
There were those who obviously threw stones of unwelcome negativity. But we were resolute, persistent and strong.
Today the people of the Newalperassi village gathered to see the new floor that will act as not only the foundation for the school, but the foundations of hope, love, life, happiness and equality.
What was once a piece of bare earth is now emerging to be a school, a kingdom of education and a chance of a better future.
