What Does it Take to be a ‘Good’ Teacher?

‘Being a good teacher is not about the training you have, it is not about how well you set up your classroom, the brand of materials you purchase or the amount of times you have achieved high grades in your class,

Teaching is a philosophy that lives deep in your heart, in every word you say, every step you take and every time you model behavior you wish to be reflected within the community.

Teaching is so much more than a job , it is a belief that each and every person has the ability to change the world for the better.’

  1. I agree that motivation is key, but one of the biggest obstacles to education in the country where I work (Kenya) is actually poor teacher preparation. Teachers need confidence that they can learn no skills and develop beyond a reliance on the methods used by their own teachers. Teacher mentor ship is so important.

  2. Why don’t you embrace the children? They are the ones who are supposed to be the protagonists, the centre of attention. The photo is unemotional and distant as politicians usually are. Forgive me for being honest, but that’s what I perceive in the photo.
    it’s just a photo
You also do good social work.
